Brezovan - 6 -that's a generous 6. He was good, but what a CLANGER at the end.
Calderon - 8 - immense goal, solid performance
Elphick - 9 - outstanding in the absence of Virgo
El-abd - 8 - straight back in, faultless
Painter - 7 - fairly quiet, but didn't do anythign wrong.
Navarro - 8 - has probably won the doubters over by now. Our Makelele equivalent!
Dicker - 8 - spread the ball around wonderfully
Crofts - 6 - below par tonight after a good game on Saturday, didn't get involved much
Lua Lua - 8 - always a threat in midfield, great pace and trickery. Sign him up
Forster - 6 - typical lively performance

Holroyd - 7 - really got stuck in when he came on, held onto the ball surprisingly well. Encouraging.

Brez - 6.5. Did well overall but his mistakes cost us a goal in almost every game he plays in
Calderon - 8 solid, good going forward, lovely finish, best right back for years
Painter - 6 - solid no frills display
Elf and El Abd - 7.5 - dominant performances

Dicker - 8 - should be first name on team sheet
Crofts - 8 - probably ran two marathons this evening. Great skipper's performance
Navarro - 8 - another intelligent display

Bennett - 8 - had a storming 2nd half capped with a beautiful shot into the bottom corner
LuaLua - 8 - Charlton couldn't handle him. Looks a real prospect

Forster - 7 - did well on his own up front without really looking like scoring.
This is close to my ratings, except:
Brez: 7.5 I think you're underestimating his contribution. He was solid until the 94th minute, came and claimed every cross and didn't look like being beaten.
Lua Lua 7.5 - a real threat but fell apart 5 or 10 mins before he was substituted.

I will go with most of that Lua Lua was dynamite but struggled with the final ball, if he had the final ball he would be the complete winger, we really got into them through the flanks, i would say we played more like the home side and controlled the game through large periods Elphick was absolutely immense.

Brezovan not much to do? You sure about that?

He took the pressure of our defence by coming for crosses something Kuipers doesn't do.

This is close to my ratings, except:

Really?? ???

Must have been watching a different game. The only time I saw Brezovan come off his line for anything was in the 94th minute when they scored.

Thanks for the ratings but am noticing that after one of our best performances for soemt inem the usual suspects who come on here are missing. Is it because we had a good game then there is nothing to moan about.

TCB where are you?

Really beginning to think Gus is getting it right... tactically he was masterful again and although I worried about the Holroyd switch so early he was proved right.

Now if only we had a good keeper at the club...

I didn't go, but have the Sky Sports Score Center app that comes with free commentry, and the amount of shots that I read Charlton had had, i thought we were going to lose, and we weren't playing well enough at all. Glad for the result and these ratings just confirm the mood of the board obouv our performance but surely if he dealt with all those shots until the last minute, he can't have been that bad? Or can he? ???

Abort, retry, fail
From my side on view, Brezovan did a fairly decent job coming out for balls. Piotr did well to turn that first shot around the post. It was the first major chance they created and it could very easily have slipped from the hands as there was a large bunch of players dotted between shooter and keeper.

Charlton may have had a fair amount of shots, but a lot were speculative from a distance or half chances.

According to the Argus Charlton only had 3 shots on target.

Back of the North Stand
Brezovan 6 - looked shaky at times and excellent at others - at fault for their goal.
Elphick 7 - Strong performance especially when Sodje came on.
El Abd 7 - one superb last ditch challenge to stop Mooney from scoring.
Calderon 7 - Gooooooooooaaaaaaaaaallllllllll
Painter 7 - got up and down, supported and defended well.
Dicker 8 - Was excellent - loving the head wear!
Navarro 8 - On the ball he was brilliant again, when we don't have the ball his positioning is quetionable.
Bennett 8 - was a constant threat MOM gave great width throughout.
Crofts 6.5 - You never see much of him, but nevertheless ran his little welsh socks off to break up coutless attacks.
Lua Lua 7 - Looked tired 2nd half. The ball is almost glued to his feet at times. A must signing.
Forster 6 - Looked like he hadn't played for a few weeks. Hoped for a better reaction when he was subbed, as we all chanted his name!

Subs
Holroyd 7 - just needs goals and he could be a little gem!
Hart 6 - He runs and gets in your face, that's what he does.

I disagree with navarros positioning being questionable in the above ratings. Everytime the ball breaks he is there when you have a man over in midfield you need one of the three to do just that.

Oh and Forster did wave over once he ha sat down

Charlton was awful and Bennetts goal was so soft, why their keeper didn't even move for it when he only really had 1 player in front of me? I thought the keeper was going to easily save it. Brezovan had a solid game, came for every cross (kuipers would have left them and then blamed his defense) shame about the goal at the end though.

Thought Forster could have got a goal if he had of learnt the off side rule by now, Holroyd has loads of pace but still sometimes makes 'non league' runs, i.e already running away from the big defender hoping they "miss" it rather than challenging for the ball. Calderons goal was AMAZING! Midfield were all solid and El Abd had a great game I thought
