That would be a massivly intelligent thing to do at this stage of the season, sack a half decent manager and replacing him with someone who has no first team managing experience and the club captain who has no coaching badges. Intresting choice that one.
In your Opinion that he is a half decent manager.
Charlie can be fast tracked for his coaching badges.
But what we really need him for is his motivational and never say die spirit - Mc gee may have been a okay player but when it comes to managing players forget it he not even man enough to put FDM on the bench for last 2 games - he should be putting the club before his ego.

Is this the same Charlie Oatway that the most vociferous Magoo out clowns wanted to be released for not being good enough last season and early this season? He's now gone from being a useless out of his depth player to managerial material with no experience whatsoever. Thank f*** DK runs this club

Spot on.

I for one have always rated Charlie he always managed to step up to the next level because he wants it.

We all know he is never going to dazzle but he would be one of the first on my team sheet - don't we just need him now.

I would dismiss this thread as another wind-up, but from past experience wind-ups are usually Funny.

Oatway's presence is a great help to the team but at this stage its just plain braindead to put them in. We all know what happend last time we promoted from within. If MM takes us down and he is sacked then it might be an option. Im not really a massive MM fan anymore and i wouldn't mind seeing him go but at this stage in the season it really is a waste of time.

I agree that the jeff wood was a poor appointment but i think Martin Hinshlewood was very unfortunate because he had far less transfer money than Mcgee and he was only losing by the odd one goal - our older players had no championship experience aswell i feel the results would have come given time - they were improving what would have happened we will never know - imo it is very short sighted to say never promote within.
