I was a big critic of Charlie... thought he brought nothing to the team for a long, long time... then, for that half-season before he got injured, he was vital to our midfield... really put himself about but, for the first time, with purpose... and when he passed, he kept it simple... didn't give the ball away as he had done earlier... so, I wish him a swift recovery to full fitness.... he can make a real diffrerence in L1, IMHO...

I agree with that although am not sure how he will do at his age and having been out for so long.

He can't do any worse than some of the performances we witnessed last season surely?
Than who in the centre? It is the one position I thought we looked pretty decent in.

I think personally he is there to guide Fraser into the first team centre mid role.

I was thinking generally-not position specific...

Players simple don't recover from those sort of injuries and long absences, OK he may play again but he won't be the same player, uh uh, no way.

People said the same thing about Kuipers ripping up his shoulder muscle.
I hope Chas makes it and he is the most determined bloke to do it.

One more bad tackle on Oatway, and then that could be it I'm affraid. I seriously doubt he will ever be the same again, after being out for this long time.

Once again I say it, people said the same thing about Kuipers injury.

Well its been a year and a half and its gonna be another 3 months until he can make a first team appearance (and thats only if he's ready for the new season, which nobody knows yet.

True but it isn't 2 years. ;)

He needs to feature in pre-season or i can quite easily see him struggeling to get into the team once the season gets underway, which would put him close to 2 years out
