What laws exactly ? What the 2 extremists did has broken many, many laws and will get life in prison when/if they are caught too.
2 things in the last 10 years in the UK, including Lee Rigby's murder then its 3. It isnt just Muslims that commit crimes. Oh and for the sex crimes, a large number of male, quite probably Christian, TV personalities have been found guilty of sex offences too. Oh and then you have the Catholic Church on that matter.

Not sure how I could really, we can also include the failed attempt 2 weeks after too. Still only a single figure amount - there isnt that many things and when they are carried out, they are done by crazed individuals which there are a minority of in our society and they are any sex, any religion, any belief etc.
Extremism on the whole of any topic is the issue, that is what as society we need to stand up to and the scenes on Twitter of people doing just that tonight are incredible. There must be hundreds of thousands of people out in support tonight - which surely shows that they cant win.

An 'English-speaking' female suicide bomber blew herself up in a police station in Istanbul today, killing one officer and injuring another.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, reportedly walked into the building in the historic Sultanahmet district claiming she had lost her purse.
Istanbul governor Vasip Sahin told Turkish TV that the woman spoke English with a "thick accent" but her nationality remains unknown.

To ascribe brutality and lack of humanity to one religion is completely counter-factual. Anders Breivik killed 69 people, mainly if not totally people of the same nationality and religion as him. That is not in any sense to condone what has happened today nor does it make me an apologist for these events.
There are presumably some people who post regularly on this site who think it is ok to attack and abuse other human beings merely for supporting a different sports team. It is the way the human psyche works. To assume otherwise is just plain wrong. And that should not be taken to mean that all human beings are merciless killers; there are countless examples of selflessness and humanity, probably more than of inhumanity and murder.
Were we posting on this site 70 years ago (excuse the anachronism) people would no doubt be speculating how an ostensibly Christian country (and home to many of the leading figures of the Enlightenment) could be responsible for the industrial murder of more than 10 million people.
People, particularly young men, like violence. It has a sort of glamour. Groups on the fringes of society, criminal gangs, political groupings, are attractive to these people (see IRA, Sendero Luminosa, goodness knows how many others) and therefore motives and actions will become conflated.
For all those who have posted, I would ask: "What have you done today to make the world a better place, today. What are you going to do to make the world a better place tomorrow." Given the revulsion to violence expressed, I would assume that any response will not contain the threat of violence.

This requires using sensitively thought out approaches, language and tactics and ensuring that the civil liberties of our nation are not trampled upon.
