I watched Fukham on the telebox t'other night and their biggest threat seemed to come from Loftus-Cheek operating in the inside-right slot.
This means we need to set up our left CB / left WB / left FB options to neutralise him.
Can't trust Burn, Webster or Dunk to do this and seems unfair to expect March to drop back so far.
Maybe White or Veltman can swap sides over from right to left - who else could do this gig?
I will be horrified if GPott has not analysed this threat and devised a tactical set-up to neutralise Loftus-Cheek

It's a little strange that much of the talk here is to change the defence, yet it was clear, once again, that we were too ponderous and toothless in the final third...

Burn has to be dumped......championship at best.
Bring Sanchez in.
Alzate or llanana for gross

Making wholesale changes isn't the answer, it's one of the causes of our current problems! We need to field a more settled side.

Until a game or two ago, people on here were pleased that Pascal Gross had been restored to the team, especially for penalty taking duties, now it would appear some NSC'ers at least, want him dropped again.

Lallana from what l've seen is injury prone, and not the player that he was, and Alzate for me at least, is still something of an enigma. Why replace Ryan, is Sanchez really any better?

Care to apply for the vacancy if Potter gets the push?

Not at all, the 0 in our score relates to the toothless part in the final third, the big fat 3 against is the shambles in goal/defence.

If we were getting spanked regularly I would agree, but we are not.

What we are consistently doing is failing to make possession and final third possession in particular count!

Maybe attempt to stop the opposition scoring?

We have conceded in 83% of all matches this season, every home game bar one.

I honestly had to check the line up to see if Dunk was playing after twenty minutes last night but he’s the one I’d want alongside me in the trenches so he keeps his place in my book

I would honestly give Zeqiri a chance provided his fit to play, none of the others are sparkling at the moment and I’ve no faith in Connolly at the moment I’m afraid

With three misfiring I’d try a new gun

Still amazed that between Dunk, White, Webster & Burn that they've only managed 1 goal between them all season. With their heighs you'd expect more but never look like scoring.

Vestegaard has 4 alone so far !!!!

Oh and team for Fulham.........god only knows but I hope Lallana and Lamptey are available.

I obviously wasn't paying attention when that happened.

You've misunderstood my message.
I don't want to manage a football team but if I can provide some scouting observations to assist the manager to achieve better outcomes for the team - I'd apply for that.
I'd also be disappointed if any of the current scouting team had not already fed this to the Manager ....

We have struggled at the back all season.
It's our main issue IMO.
Now we are also struggling up front.

Both areas need to be sorted, but I would settle for clean sheets as a first priority from now on.

And think about how many scoring chances have fallen to them. Their missing of straightforward opportunities has put enormous pressure on our forwards.

Yes, certainly gives us lots of options going forward. Suspect Gross will start in place of Trossard, as I can’t imagine Potter will be so attack minded. Either that or Alzate, who I imagine would be very good alongside Bissouma and Lallana.
