Nothing like 2000 feet I know, but looking at old photos such as this I always felt that those blokes painting the roof girders must have liked living dangerously as well
People falling from 2000 feet have a longer life expectancy than those falling from 1000 feet.

It's never really occured to me before, but the lights we see on the top of towers need changing once in a while! :facepalm:

What I really want to know is how in the hell do they,build these things?????

They're too high to put bits on top with a crane. You can't build one laying down and stand it up.

Just how???????

:D. My thoughts exactly. I was looking at that metal framework surrounding the bulb casing and thinking 'How the hell did they get that on the top, let alone erect the entire structure leading up to it!'
