I was running my local 10k race on Sunday (in New Zealand), when at around about the 2k point someone ran past me wearing the stripes! He was a bit faster than me, so I shouted "Seagulls", we exchanged pleasantries, and then he ran off ahead. At the finish line, I caught up with him again juat as he had finished chatting to someone who used to play in Brighton's youth team!

It's a small, small world!

2004 I was sitting by Darling Harbour in Sydney wearing a retro Brighton shirt. Bloke came up and started taking to me about the Albion. He was a fan too and if I remember rightly he worked there.

I couldn't make the Palace playoff match at The Amex because I was giving a training session in Edinburgh. So, and I know I shouldn't do this, I gave my season ticket to my sister. My sister likes her holidays and as a result she didn't have any more days leave left for the year and because she lives in Swindon she needed time off to get to The Amex in time for kick off. So, she goes cap in hand to her boss expecting the worst only to find out that he's an Albion fan and he insists that she takes the time off paid! They work in a small office and because no one else working there likes footy (weird eh?) the topic has never arisen in conversation before!

I was hopitalised a few years ago in Bath and the patient in the next bed was also an Albion fan from Worthing.

You were looking into a mirror you idiot.

This happened to me in 2004 at the euro champs in Porto - we had been to see Germany v Holland - i was wearing my BHA top. About 6 hours after the game strolling home very drunk with mates a very pissed german fan staggered towards me - i thought he was going to lamp me. He looked at me very hard staggered about - smiled and said the imortal words in a very strong german accent " **** Crystal Palace yar!" Then he stumbled off - in my opinion the unknown German is a legend!

Met a fellow north-stander at a small hotel in Turkey last summer, not back for home Barnsley game :tantrum: so luckily he gave me score updates at the bar.

Funchal, Madeira. Walking through town back to our cruise ship we bumped into a chap wearing an Albion shirt. Stopped and had a chat.
