He’s just 22. I saw him in a cup game for us earlier this season and was surprised by how good he was. He left us because the strength in depth of our young midfielders is too much for him to complete with. Too much in terms of Bissouma, Groß & Lallana swallowing up all the 1st team starts backed up by youngsters who have full international appearances under their belts such as Moder, Molumby, Alzate & Baluta and that’s ignoring players like Pröpper and Richards who are probably ahead of him as well. Then someone like Caicedo joins the club and you know that if you’re English, you’ve got to be an England U21 regular to get a sniff.

Sanders’ time will come, he might even make it as an EPL player having left us young (like Cook) but he left because we have a world class academy and he just couldn’t compete; he’ll still be a very good player at some point.

Yes, I know only too well why he left us (and quite rightly) - I said that in my earlier post. It hasn't worked out well for him yet though. I also (like you, I think) think he's too good for League 1, or at least at the very top level for that division, as he showed last season at Wimbledon.
I realise that Lincoln were going well when they bought him - but really thought the were buying a player to boost the team to get them over the line, not to warm the bench. I just hope we've got a bloody good sell on clause!!

Just switched the L2 final on. Newport seem a little peeved no penalty given for the Morecombe keeper coming to punch a corner away, missing the ball completely and punching the Newport attacker in the head with both fists :lolol:

A striker touches the goalie and its a foul but how was that not a penalty for dangerous play?

And now the ref gives Morecombe one of the softest pens you'll ever see. Not even sure it was in the box.

His dive took him in.

Two shocking decisions.

Just to rub salt in a Newport playergets booked for a clash of heads.

Man City fans, if you want to see a useless ref, watch the Morecombe/Newport game.

Pleased morecambe won. Just for having a prawn/scrimp as a mascot if nothing else.

I wasn't really bothered who won, but after seeing the non penalty in the first half, I sided with Newport.

Just had a look at the National League play off fixtures. They go on forever ! Do they always do it this way ?

They only seem to go on forever because the National League only completed their last set of regular season fixtures this past weekend. In a normal season they’ve completed the playoffs within the first 2 weeks of May.

It’s actually the same number of games played as the EFL playoffs but instead of having 2 legged games they have a QF between 4th vs 7th and 5th vs 6th the winners then play 2nd and 3rd in the semi finals. The winners of that will meet in the final.

With only one automatic promotion place it gives more teams a chance to be in the mix for the playoffs at the end of the season so should reduce the number of meaningless games.

Fair enough. I hadn’t spotted that these were one leg fixtures only. I quite like the two legs but can see the advantages given there are only two promotion places on offer.

He already is in the premier league the wanker that is Bobby Madley a grade a ****

I didn’t even spot it was him, just noticed the shit performance. We’ve seen so many this season that refs tend to merge into one massive blob of incompetence.

Up your alley
Much better away day in their new location, with a brilliant choice of pubs.

Also much easier to get to.

Fast Train to Richmond from Clapham Junction, then a short couple of stops on the overground or "underground" (which is overground there) to Gunnersbury.

Easier is CJ to Kew Bridge, right next to the stadium, 18 minutes
