I posted this on the Paul McShane thread but this is what a Baggie friend of mine said about it...

33,000 tickets for the play off game out of 90,000 is a disgrace

prices range from £32 to £72 with most available seats in the £48 or £60 price range.

i wont get a ticket for wembley so will be at home watching it for free on sky

Well we got 33,000 for cardiff didn't we?

17,000 goes to wembly club members which basically paid for the ground to be built

The £32 tickets are for children, disabled and OAPS.
33,000 was half the capacity for the Millenium. It's only a third of Wembley.

My point was if it wasn't being played at Wembley then they would have only got that amount or less for ticket allication. I can see why 17,000 does go to club members but does feel slightly wrong, adrian chiles who is a west brom fan was talking all about it on Radio 5 today.

The prices are awfully high but then again so is the stakes for the whoever loses that game

Nobody is ever happy with ticket allocations for Wembley apart from lower division clubs- it was always thus.

I really can't get that excited about the West Brom-Derby complaints at only getting 33,000 each- after all, neither averaged that many for home games this season so they should comfortably satisfy all their loyal regulars, and after that, well it's up to the clubs.

Much as I can't stand either, surely Chelsea or Man United, who average something like 44,000 and 70,000 respectively this season have far more to complain about, but I don't see them complaining.

Tickets for the first round of games at the new Wembley were always going to be scarce, unless you're talking about a Macclesfield v Torquay play off final.

I know a West Brom fan and he knows someone who has paid £10k for the seats that guarantees you tickets for the Cup Final and England games.

He told me your £10k doesn't include tickets for the playoff finals but gives you preferred status. He has paid £99 for his ticket for the West Brom game for which he gets a programme and a cushioned seat!

As I said above - I'm pretty he won't be able to wear colours.

I'm a really boring old fart,so I'll tell you that when Man Utd played Benfica at Wembley in 1968 in the proper European Cup Final and tickets were as rare in Manchester as Leeds United victories are these days,my Brighton League team got FOUR,and I took one,a mate took one and two were given to non footballers.

Something to do with tickets for the grass roots, but should these things happen?

Also, when I got tickets for THE cup final, there were about 30 German fans in front of me,over for the day, supporting no one in particular, just a day out.

Bloody annoying,and bloody stupid.

Give ALL the tickets to the two clubs,so that the TRUE supporters can put them on eBay.

My cousin was secretary of Sussex FA for several years and he got two tickets every year regardless of who was playing.
