Well tonights the night, another collosal clash between two of the giants of English football in Chelsea and Liverpool. Promises to be a momentous occasion at a raucous Anfield, and I for one can't wait.

:yahoo:

I fancy Liverpool to nick it 1-0.

0-0 snore draw. I will start to watch it, but will probably be bored into submission by half time and turn over and watch super-fat-bastards-go-to-diet-camp or something.

3 goals in the past 7 champions league encounters between the two, and one of them was dubious.

As long as Chelsea get knocked out I don't mind.

I can't really wait, but I fear the match won't live up to what it could be. On balance onver the two legs I have a sneaking feeling it might be Chelseas time (unfortunately), but I'm hoping for a 2-0 wins for the reds, cueing a quick goal for Chelsea at home next week and a tense 85 mins after that.

Alternatively 7-0 tonight with Torres scoring 6 of them.

This would be the Russian-owned, Israeli-managed and American-owned, Spanish-managed giants of English football, then. I feel absolutely no affinity with either of them. They are no different to the choice I make between Starbucks, Caffe Nero etc. Unlike the 1970s and 80s when I genuinely wanted English teams (with the permanent exception of Manure) to win.

Please.

Not that any Liverpool fans will be able to get a russian visa anyway for the final.

Kinky raises an interesting point. If Chelsea get knocked out, will Abramovich arrange for key Liverpool players not to get visas for the final?

And ıf Chelsea do get through will he do the d-same to man utd or Bacelona?

I smell a siberian rat!

I hope Liverpool win through to the final, but I can see this going to extra time at Stamford Bridge.

The onus tonight is certainly on Liverpool. They've qualified past Chelsea the last 2 times after playing the 2nd leg at Anfield. I can see 1-1 tonight, 1-1 at the Bridge with Chelsea sneaking through.

What makes it interesting is the fact Chelsea players don't rate the manager. I'm hoping they go into half-time a goal or two down, then we should see some sparks fly.

I wonder if its becasue Grant doent have his little Favorites and is willing, along with Henk ten cate to rip into the players no matter who it is.

I think Chelsea will get through and reckon the 2nd leg being at SB will play a factor.

Can't see it being a classic but as stakes are so high I'm sure it will be good to watch

I think there is so little between the two teams, it may not be a great spectacle tonight - but being optimistic, it could be a real humdinger.

I'm looking forward to seeing how blatant a dive Gerrard tries to pull off

I wonder if its because he has no track record in football, has no personality whatsoever and has managed to annoy some of the players who are only there because Mourinho brought them in.
