I fail to see how the French can hold any major sporting event especially football ever again. Policing safety comunication coordination unfit shambles. If UEFA allow another final like this again in France then their apology is an insult. I would like tye English and Spanish government to hold Macron and his idiots to account. The french MUST pay for this and heavily. Its criminal.

I appreciate your anger, but on that basis neither should England, Turkey etc.

The French got it wrong. But Stade has held many an excellent event and will in the future hopefully.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but it's been well known for years that "romantic" Paris is a fallacy. Paris has many ghettos and no go zones and thousands of poor and disadvantaged people shoved out in the outer districts. It's not a great surprise that gangs of youths from this group have decided to go en masse to this event to steal. I've enjoyed trips to Paris but you have to have your wits about you. Not that these fans of Real and Liverpool have any blame attached but I agree with the lad at the end of the video, I wouldn't be interested in a trip to the Paris Olympics. Be interesting how they police that one!

and it looks like large numbers of the disadvantaged ghetto dwellers were out in full force to pick off middle aged male and female Liverpool supporters who were waiting to enter the ground through gates that remained shut .......the french police " there's nothing we can do " they say the same thing as they are watching the boats leave their shores....@#$%&

There certainly were ticketless Liverpool fans but most of them were in the fan park or bars. They were not trying to force entry at the stadium as was claimed by the French. That behaviour was also in large part down to locals. There were around 2800 (I think ?) incorrect ticket scans but it has not as yet been established how many of those came from pretty widespread non scanning of legitimate tickets (ie software inadequacy).The French Government knew they had an audience very willing to believe the worst of Liverpool fans and they shifted the blame accordingly. I really don’t think your facts stand up to much scrutiny as you are conflating ticketless Liverpool fans in Paris with ticketless Liverpool fans at the stadium.

True, but where were the so called 20,000 ticketless or fake ticket holding fans 45 minutes after KO. The Sky reporter was walking around at this time showing where the problems were and there were no fans to be seen. They weren't in the ground so what happened to them?
Truth is there wasn't 20,000. Yes there may have been the odd 1000 and they should have been weeded out at a checkpoint a mile from the ground but weren't. At the same time the gates didn't accept real tickets (as shown by many supporters).

It’s a city of millions (urban area is 10m) , of course it will have “ghettos” and “no go zones”, just like all other comparably sizes places. I don’t feel I need any more wits about me than I do if I’m in, for example, London.

i had only seen the Liverpool related shenanigans , so basically the gangs of Paris ran riot and the French National Guard did nothing , other than pepper spray panicking fans .....vive la France....!!

…I’d add that fans from various clubs and countries travelling without tickets ..or the existence of fake tickets is hardly new or exclusive to Liverpool fans and yet you wouldn’t have thought that judging by certain posts….it doesn’t seem as if any humility is being shown now that facts are emerging

40 years. We are probably done with foreign travel. Seen some beauty places particularly whilst living in Europe and Asia. There was no particular reason we never went to Paris as we went to other areas of France, just never the capital. Can’t travel far now so it will be Wales and the Lake District from now on and it’s just as exciting planning such trips as it was traveling the world when we were younger.
