I’m not shedding any tears for Abu Dhabi FC, but can anyone explain to me how removing away goals is a good thing. Real Madrid played most of that game like a (good) Sean Dyche side.
That's a little dismissive of the technical achievement required.

If we had the ability, foresight and will to play DeZerbiball AND (good) Dycheball we'd be top 4, still in Europe, with half the threads on here about Roberto being the next Messiah and not a very naughty boy.

Looking at the Europe league teams left in and the results last week we were very much rise tinted glasses if we thought we were going to win that

When does he ever go past the defender? Very rarely.
I agree with you. I watched parts of it last night and the whole of the game in Madrid and every time Grealish got the ball, he did exactly what you said. I couldn't understand why Pep didn't take him off far far earlier in both games. He was pointless. It actually amused me greatly as the BBC ran a video article about how Pep schooled Madrid 6-2 by playing Messi as a false 9 (which kind of ignored the fact that Messi was the world's greatest player and would have made Barca effective wherever he played).

That said, I've always thought Grealish was a decent player up against good teams, but just not the very, very best in the world like Real Madrid. He's very much like a supercharged version of Anthony Knockaert who was outstanding for us at Championship level and crappy Premier league teams like Palace, but totally ineffective against middling or better Premier league teams.

I worry it will make MCFC more desperate to hammer us....
If they jog they score three on us dont want to know what happens if they run. Despite long break Im really not looking forward to it its impossible to imagine us getting anything from it

Best thing about watching the Man City game Wednesday night, they didn't have both of their perimeter screens on which hide the players from the viewers.

I cannot see what Grealish brings to that team. Receives ball on the left, shapes to take on the full back, cuts it back to someone behind him near the edge of the box. EVERY BLOODY TIME.
Modelling himself on Adingra recently?
