Its utter, utter, utter bollocks. Zero jeopardy, and zero integrity (how on earth can you have a 'league' table, where each team plays against SOME of the teams in their league?).

I have all of the channels, so could have watched any of the CL games last night. We tried 2 different CL matches, and end up watching Everton v Southampton.

Wow that's desperation. I think i'd rather have just watched the first half of the u21 game against Wycombe on repeat

We hate the Champions League. It's only for those big clubs to make more money. Too many games, players will get tired.

"And there we have it, victory at Spurs place Brighton & Hove Albion 4th in the league"

"We're all going on a European tour"
The worst paradox when you hate the thing you are aiming for, bit like the premier league 10 years ago.

As Atilla says, love the club, hate the chess pool it swims in.

Just in case
Atalanta given a penalty, it's a f***ing CONSPIRACY against THE ARSENAL.
Maybe father and son had a fallout 🤔….’Dad’ is reffing tonight

Just seen that a referee has had the TEMERITY to send off a Barcelona player in their match against Monaco 😲😲😲

Edit: not only that, but Monaco have retaken the lead

Quite amazing that Gasperini manages to make this team which mainly consists of PL rejects (not all rejects as such, but none exactly tore it up here) like Zappacosta, Cuadrado, De Roon, Lookman, Godfrey, Kolasinac, Zaniolo and Scamacca, play to this standard.

Still in Brighton
Normally it works and you barely notice the capo, right now the Milan fans are severly pissed off though and on the brink of exploding in anger.
I understand you dislike it intensly. Its a bit how I feel about a football culture where you ask the club for permission to pretty please bring a flag to the game saying hi to the new manager. Like I said... different cultures, different preferences.

You do make me laugh. You've sort-of become an Albion fan but if you actually came to a game at the Amex I think you'd f***ing hate it.....and drop us like a hot potato.

The only good thing I can see about this format is that teams don't get a second bite in the Europa League.

Other than that, I watch a lot of European footie but I haven't watched any of this. I'll wait till the last 16.

Why?? Most folk who go to the Amex are great and if you're talking atmosphere it's no worse than vast majority of other grounds in this country. Ronald came to see the Equadorians and now seemingly can't get enough - home or away!

Nah don't think so. I'm sure it has its own charm I can engulf in. Different is good.

Why? It was a clear red. Ter Stegen f***ed up the pass and then just Eric Garcia doing Eric Garcia things.

Well deserved win for Monaco. Actually expected worse playing with 8 men for most of the game (MATS with one of his usual European nights again was one of the best players for Monaco and Lewa invisible again). Conceded that stupid 2nd goal playing a high back line while being a man down too, just typical Barca.

Only positives are Yamal scoring his first goal in CL as the second youngest player ever behind Fati who has also returned to play last night. Hopefully can finally stay healthy. We could use him as our offensive options behind Yamal, Lewa and Raphinha are very limited. Marc Casado also had another solid game which is a good sign. We'll definitely need him with all the injuries.

Big, big fan of the new format.

I always get sucked into watching champions League games I don't care about, now I know nothing important will happen till February I can do far better things with my time

Worthing
Quite interesting that, as far as I can tell, even on a football forum there appears to be zero interest in the first night of the Champions League. Biggest shake-up in decades has worked wonders. Can’t say I’ve ever been less motivated to watch before the knockout stage. 8 games per club and what feels like next to no jeopardy at all.

Villa are two up in Bern by the way.
As usual wake me up when the knockout stage starts, otherwise meaningless
