Yes, definitely a full-back.

A fullback in a 2–3–5 formation was a bit different from today (as was the centre-half).

Not enough in my opinion, I think there should be a rule where at least one centre half is interviewed for every managers vacancy

Or centre back. They're interchangeable these days anyway right? The OP has certainly interchanged them.

Anyway it's the greatest position on the planet and the only thing left in my Pro column when it comes to the hapless Finn. Centre backs read the game brilliantly, have the perfect balance between skill and brawn, are good to their mums and great in bed*

Perhaps it would be a shorter list if you reworded the question two; 'can anyone name an out-and-out centre back who didn't go on to be a successful manager?'
