I hope you haven't got GAS in your radiators, a little knowledge is dangerous as the saying goes
It could be hydrogen, air or hydrogen sulphide, all of which are GASES (at normal room temperature/pressure)

But I'm not going to argue with you as I know what you do for a living.
If asked someone to bleed a radiator for me I wouldn't say undo the vent pin until the gas comes out, I think this could confuse some people.
