Apparently this celery business came from a Chas and Dave number called 'Ask Old Brown'
Ask old Brown to tea
And his family,
If he don't come
I'll tickle his bum with a lump of celery
Chelsea fans early 80's changed the lyrics to the version mentioned in the thread earlier and sang it to the tune of 'Wem-ber-lee'
They used to bombard the pitch with celery
Even though I didn't know any of our mob I used to write Caveman Crew on my school books at that time, celery used to be lobbed from most areas of the Goldstone in those days apart from the West stand and I loved it
