As long as the brilliant Richard Osman's House of Games keeps going I'm ok.

For the moment but my guess is he will carry on until the end of the year when Stephen Mulhern and/or Vernon Kay will take over.

Can not stand the bloke...

An unfunny comedian, he often seems to be unnecessarily rude to competitors on Countdown and he’s not a very good writer. Other than that….

Having a best selling novel doesn’t mean you can write - just ask Dan Brown, or Jeffrey Archer

A bit unfair on RO. He's not a comedian and has never claimed to be one. He was a producer who was dragged in front of the camera when he and Armstrong demonstrated the concept for Pointless. He is the modern day Chuck Barris, even down to the fictional murdering.

Like NSC's ChaileyGem, he's an alumni of Radio Sussex's fantastic late eighties indie pop radio show 'Turn It Up.'

Are we sure David was referencing the right person? It sounds like he's describing Jimmy Carr........

I was about to say "Or Katie Price" then I remembered she likely no more writes her books than I do

Genuinely curious what you find so bad about him?

Of all the people on TV, he has to be one of the least offensive right?

I don't expect everyone to think he's BRILLIANT, but I really can't fathom what it is about him that is particularly hard to stomach.

Sad news today that Richard Osman is quitting Pointless to concentrate on his bestselling crime novels.

Osman won't be immediately replaced permanently and will instead be replaced by a series of rotating guest presenters including Greg Wallace, Alec Scott, Jermaine Jenas and Paddy McGuinness.

Fan-bloody-tastic! First we get bloody Ann Robinson splattered all over the wonderful Countdown, and now the BBC are downgrading Pointless..................

..........or maybe the OP just missed the fact that April 1st. was a week ago (hopefully the latter).
