The Star yesterday reported that viewing figures for Sundays opening were 1m down on last year when it was hosted by Dec and Holly.

As you keep saying and I've repeatedly explained why.

Have you any idea how viewing figures are gathered ?

West is BEST
I actually recognise two of the "celebrities" this year. Still largely a veritable Who's That? of talentless bottom feeders.

No argument from me just stating a reported fact.

Actually you aren't. One it's the Star (which doesn't "report" anything) and viewing figures are wildly estimated on a sample of just 12,000 viewers, so "lost a million viewers" isn't anywhere near a fact.

Viewing figures these days are pretty meaningless, especially with so many other ways of watching. Netflix don't publish them and Amazon couldn't be bothered who is watching The Grand Tour as long as it is attracting millions to sign up for a yearly delivery service called Prime.

So let me tell you how it works or explain whatever tabloid rubbish you have sucked into. These rags would love to run an I'm a Celeb exclusive prior to transmission, but they can't.

ITV are brilliant at letting nothing leak out prior to the 9 O'Clock transmission and the contestants can't contact the outside world.

So the tabloids simply make something up or write a misleading headline. This year the viewing figures will have undoubtedly dipped because last year ITV when full throttle on the celebs to make up for the loss of one of the presenters who are the actual stars of the show.

Just remember who they had in there. - Noel Edmonds, Nick Knowles, John Barrowman and Harry. That's not cheap.

If you "get" the ironic genius of this programme (it's very very clever), it was the classic year. They will struggle to hit that high again.

ITV like any company have to balance the books and real stars want millions to go in the show now.

This year the contestants aren't up to much, but so what. ITV make millions from sponsorship and ad revenue and will still be pissing all over all the channels at nine o'clock.

That's a really boring story, but a better one (if you believe it) is that the loss of "Holly" has turned viewers off.

It's bollocks. Ant and Dec are the ITV golden boys. The truth is that viewing figures would have been even higher last year if both were involved.

Jenner will win this. 9 to 1 before and now 3 to 1 after a day. This show is set up for her. Might as well get on the 3 to 1 now. Buying money

Hang on Uncle... remember Cheltenham !

Gone down well with the great British public. Voted for the next BTT. Why go on it if you're going to blub and say "I miss my kids so much". Ah yes. Money.

Indeed ! When our celebs are faced with their first bowl of Cockroaches the screams ring out, surely they knew what was coming ?

100% spot on. Anyone who can’t see this is deluded

I'll always be baffled that grown up men watches this kind of shit. No wonder Western civilization is crumbling when people voluntarily engage in self-mutilation of the brain.

And no, I'm not some kind of high brow elitist - I'm just saying there is thousands of years of culture to indulge in - great movies, books, tv shows, music - and people opt for this stuff. Dystopian.

The programme about the Met Police finished last week, I didn't know that, it was really interesting.
So I watched a bit of Jungle action.
Women sitting on a log blubbing about missing their kids, don't chuffing go in there then!
Fell asleep.

Fair play to Kate.
I had a bit of a pop at her earlier but her norks are looking nice and plump and she has a trim figure for her age.

Judging by your previous post I assume you were dreaming of Kate's 'norks'!!!

Yes, because of course all great movies, books, tv shows, music, documentaries are all COMPLETELY ignored while we watch 'this shit' permanently and exclusively, on a loop, at the expense of everything else in the world.

Honestly? It's the only time i ever get to be in the same room as my 13 year old daughter who emerges from her lair to watch it on the living room tele rather that opt for the 'watch on tablet' option in her room.
