Ollie Rayner will be loving this. Serves us right for not standing by our homegrown talent and replacing them with overpaid journeymen.

I'm sure the pitch is a bowlers paradise, what with the pitch dried out after no rain for a week and there being not a cloud in the sky for the 5th day running.

So 33/4 is a great score under the circumstances.
Agreed. These damp early season wickets always favour bowlers. Luckily for Sussex, 80 could be a decent score on this sort of track.

We'd need a bit of luck to reach 80 on this sort of pitch. I think 65 is about par.

And if cricinfo says that Middlesex are 208/3 at the close, then obviously you will know that the 0 shouldn't actually be there and that it is a typo.

Surprised Middlesex haven't brought on a spinner yet or even a part-timer, just to mix things up and try and force a wicket.

Durham 55/4 v Lancashire
Derbyshire 56/3 v Gloucs
Sussex 38/4 v Middlesex
Worcs 44/0 v Somerset
Northants 45/4 v Yorkshire

Could someone tell me how many wickets Worcester have really lost as that is clearly a typo too.

Somerset have got a couple of CHILDREN bowling, trying to make a game of it.

52/4 now.

This partnership is now worth 19 and could just be taking the game out of Middlesex's reach.

70/5 but it's too little too late for Middlesex. A fabulous knock of 14 runs there for Wright and this should be wrapped up today, if not tomorrow morning.

Magnificent innings from England hopeful Wright. Middlesex hopes fading fast here.

Middlesex BUFFOON on the internet radio has just said that 200 would not be a good score in these conditions...

yeah right and 7.6 seconds would not be fast for running 100 metres
