Chips being served *IN* the Amex?

I've not seen curry either, but I've not been to a game yet this season.
Oven chips, as if cooked by an over enthusiastic 8 yr old on an attempt to impress their parents. To which said parents will smile sweetly and say 'mmmmm these are lovely. Well done dear'

In Dick's Bar after one of our party had a baffling conversation with a barmaid, English was not her mother tongue in her defence, he ordered a Moretti top, was charged for the normal pint but the young lady in question then tried to charge him £3.50 for a splash of lemonade straight out of the Schweppes bottle. I'm guessing it was not only her first day at the Amex but possibly her first behind a bar.
:moo:

My son said his Chicken and Chorizo pie yesterday was actually Chicken Balti...
Pie roulette
Dangerous game for me being a non meat eater, i very rarely buy a pie at football but one so called vegetarian (now vegan) turned out to be some sort of curry pie containing I’m not sure what. This was a while back though

In Barber's head we are just "customers". He won't give a stuff about crap, over-priced food all the time the punters keep shelling out for it. He will only take heed and think on if the revenue starts dropping off. No way is the quality / price going to improve until that happens. So just stop buying it.

£14 for f&c is a complete rip off. I go to a f&c restaurant where I can get a sit down medium cod and chips (freshly fried to order), pot of tea and bread and butter for less than £15!
Is that F&C restaurant open and busy for more than a few hours every fortnight?
You are comparing different things.

Agree with your first paragraph, but disagree with your second.

Go to any major in our ootdoor sporting or music event, or theatre come to that, then l think £14 is no more than par with the price that you will pay.

In fact at my fish & chip shop of choice, Kingfish in Henfield, (free bit of advertising there), the cost of a maedium cod & chips hovers around the £10/11 mark. so what you would pay at the Amex certainly isn't ca complete rip off. I'm not saying the quality at the Amex is as good though!

You need to complain to the club (as well as stopping purchasing). Send a photo via Titter/X or similar.
It demonstrates the core psyche of the club caterers towards the fanbase. Serve 'em up any old overpriced shit, the mugs will still queue ten deep to buy it.

Just say no, folks :nono:

Purchased 3 Chicken & Mushroom pies, all in the correct yellow carboard sleeve.
Got to our seats and one was a Chicken Balti. It was nice first time but kept repeating on me all match.

I’d say that goes for almost every football stadium, concert, festival, mass gathering, Wetherspoons, etc.

Price is what you pay, value is what you get and that’s a very very subjective debate, as this thread demonstrates.

All a bit pointless really because I confidently predict:

Prices will continue to increase
Demand will remain high
Service will be inconsistent

Each to their own though. I typically don’t buy but last night I spent over £60 for some friends I was treating. Gotta buy their kids a hot dog and a coke etc, I want them to enjoy themselves that’s the main thing and the tickets were a lot cheaper than normal anyhow. Happy to pay, safe in the knowledge before that prices and quality aren’t the cheapest or best. And never will be. It’s contract catering and football. We all know this! If you can’t afford or don’t think it represents good value then don’t purchase. But I think everyone can afford, or they wouldn’t be attending PL football. It’s the good value bit people baulk about, and I completely understand that. Subjective as that is.
