Its bullshit. Barber should get his arse up there at half time and watch how shit they are. Why did they remove the haverys bar and replace it with ****ing food.

It always happens its really shit. The kids behind the counters are morons as well.

Meanwhile why no scratch cards? Was the 97 day break not long enough to a/ train new staff & b/ print scratch cards.

Exact same thing happened last season. If memory serves, as reported on here, somebody got sacked for that one. Presumably that person's replacement will be sacked this season also. Got as far as actually asking for a lucky one please off the lady at the foot of the bridge slope last night before realising that I was about to buy some crummy fun-free stop-gap raffle ticket rather than a three-chances-to-win scratchcard. 'You can still win money!' the lady yelled after me plaintively as I walked off muttering 'useless'. The club really can be stupid barstewards sometimes. Why they no learn? ???

ive never waded into these threads before but have to now
Ht yesterday was the worst I've seen it at the Amex . Staff seemed to have no idea what was happening. Pints being messed up and not coming out at any speed
Bloke on till seemed to be waiting for someone to bring him the beers but was a right abortion going on round the pumps. "Customers" were losing heads and many gave up .
Absolute shambles of a service yesterday . Employ monkeys id doubt could be worse . How difficult is it to get 15 pints of each beer poured ready for ht and then have 1 goon allocated to purely pouring. It isn't rocket science

Pie full of hot water and no filling. A pint of fosters that was flat and I am sure had been very heavily watered down.

There was one member of staff pouring pints, he was pulling the handle half way and getting pints of froth, after about 3 pints worth his supervisor came over and pulled the handle all the way down to pour a perfect pint.
Surely they are shown this in some sort of training and not at half time with queues building, bloody pathetic.

Didn't notice much in the way of chorizo in the chicken and chorizo pie .

Agree. I think they need to re-name it a chicken and red pepper pie. Shall we get in touch with Piglets, and request that they add some chorizo and subtract the red pepper?

Four of us in the WSU used to queue for ages at halftime, haven't bothered for the last year, we look forward to our first post match pint in town without the stress.

The kids behind the counters are morons as well.

No they're not. They just get slung in at the deep end by short-term-profit-hungry catering management and left to sink or swim. There must be loads of these poor kids who leave their first day on the job completely shell-shocked, never to return.

As usual the ESL is the place to be.

Chicken and Chorizo was larva encased in pastry.
Good chunks of both main ingredient, and nicely spiced.

Still not a patch on Chicken and Ham or it's nearer comparison the Balti.

The steak and ale was apparently 'good'.

Served within 2 minutes of our 7pm arrival.
I didn't leave my seat at HT.

A suggestion: When you run out of something, take a note of how many people are still asking for it. This will give you an idea of how much extra you need to order. It's called forecasting.

My st is in the WSU and the fact is that you cannot rely on the catering up there.
I gave up a couple of seasons back and now eat/drink away from the stadium.
The club obviously has a high very high turnover from the catering, however they have serious issues and are not maximizing their revenue opportunity.
There should be beer only kiosks with loads of pre poured drinks ready for quick service.
Also it maybe an idea to have some information screens screens above the kiosks saying which items are out of stock etc to save uneccessary time queuing for nothing.
Obviously we have come a very long way from the old burger bar at the back of the north stand at the old Goldstone, but it needs Barber to come out on the concourse at HT to witness the debacle.
