I think you will have a hell of a job in the Summer and will be looking to emulate Bloom as many do - finding a manager to change the style to proper football and not to go down in the process. I am not sure the football would be quite as pragmatic with crowds watching if I am honest, Players like Eza, and wilf come alive with when fans are cheering or booing them, Palace have really been playing with a injury hit back four all season that in its self has made the team "safety first" that is deemed as boring.

Palace have beaten the teams they have had to beat this season and I wouldn't be surprised if they were top of the bottom 10 mini league. Our only big result were a 3.1 win against Man u a draw with Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs and a good win against Leeds, other that that we have just done what we should be doing and beating teams around us.

Thats what you do when you have a Wiley old fox like Roy.

I honestly don’t have a clue. If Ray goes then I’m massively unimpressed with the supposed front runners for his replacement.

11 wins to our 8, they thoroughly deserve to be higher than us.

4 seasons of crying about referees is an irrelevant distraction.

Sadly this, WS. They clearly know what to do to finish above us, even when they start a season with 7 losses and no goals. They finished 11th with 44 points then.

We've both very much Potter-in, but the league table doesn't lie. Credit where it's due to Roy who's clearly still more than able to manage in the top flight.

But... it can't go on forever. Palace will need a rebuild of the playing squad. And the Albion's stability on and off the pitch will prevail.

So bring on next season and please bring it on with at least one new striker who knows where the goal is.

Next season, nobody even thinks about Brighton finishing above Palace. Nobody mentions it, nobody starts a thread about it. Nobody breathes it. It's a scenario which we all accept is completely and utterly impossible.

Which one would I prefer? If it’s to ensure our ongoing Premier League survival, I’d probably stick with Roy and his admittedly ‘pragmatic’ brand of effective football. I could certainly see Eddie making us more attractive to watch but I’m not convinced he’d be capable of the massive rebuild we probably need. So I guess I’m a fence sitter if that’s the only options.
