Caskey and Cook going out on loan...

A team winning everything in League One, still in Carling Cup...good place to go on loan to to keep the winning mentality - passing football side...just a shame it's Franchise really. Should be good for them

Probably a good move for them, don't know much about their current team but how likely are they to get regular football ?

Not sure we should send COok out just yet with El-Abd, Elphick, Greer and Vincelot all injured.

I think it would prove an excellent move for both (and for the Albion with respect to their development given that the new subs. rule will restrict any playing opportunities), but I hope that we would have both of them tied into a sufficiently long contracts that they would wish to get back and participate in this amazing club's future.

Caskey to MK Dons? That would be impressive for someone of his age and experience - was expecting upper L2, shrewsbury kind of club. If he can hold down a starting spot at MK Dons right now then he could be the real deal...

I guess the same goes for Cook, although the Greer/Vincelot injuries have to make that doubtful

Caskey I can see going out on loan but at the moment Cook is the back up defender

I was thinking this also. It wasn't that long ago Cook and Dunk were rubbing shoulders in most games - definitely an option.

A decent passing team that's not too far away and winning and playing at a decent level. I expect. Despite it being MK Dons couldn't think of anywhere better to send developing players.

Ideal place for them on loan as long as they get to play and as long as we break our duck on (league*) loans under Gus and bring them back into the fold...............................

McNulty, Tunnicliffe, Dickinson, Foster, Holroyd, Whing
all went out on loan to league clubs, and left.

* the exception, Cook, to non-league Mansfield

edit: and I like the idea of them going as a pair - Cook has been out before and is that bit older but Caskey is very young, doesn't drive, and could get very lonely and isolated moving away from home for the first time. If it happens this way it will be good management

I think that Caskey signed a 2 year contract in the summer, also I'm sure there will be a clause in the loan agreements allowing us to take them back at short notice if necessary.

None of those players were youth developments for the albion though, more waning first-teamers, so you'd expect these two on loan will have a different outcome! Hopefully come back with some decent experience ready for some first team action in the stripes.
