Pontoon is def. easiest to win at, just remember to check if the casino you are visiting allows you to burn on 13 or 14 or both.

Good Luck!

The only mugs are the ones who gamble what they can't afford to lose. As long as you set yourself a limit at the start and STICK to it, its a damn fine evening. I've not been for a while, but used to go to the International Casino down Preston Street and play Roulette and/or Blackjack. My limit would always be £30 - once its gone its gone, but I've come away 'up' on many occasions.

A mate of mine, a cabbie, came out about £160 down once. He was mightily pissed off, so he jumped in his cab, worked the rest of the night through to the middle of the following morning and earned it all back. Think he was probably terrified of his missus finding out :lolol:

Like easy said set yourself a limit and you will be fine. Roulette and blackjack are the ones I like to play.

Good advice indeed. I tend to have a £40 limit, but 6 of the last 7 visits I've come out either even or ahead. I only ever play roulette and stick with the same sort of bets all night. You soon know if you're lucks in.

Some times that £40 only lasts 10 minutes, but on one recent occasion I actually walked out after 6 long hours £700 up - and pretty pissed up.

When I win I tend to stay away for a month or 2 as it can be a bit dangerous if you walk in there thinking your playing with 'their money'.

My advice is.... if you go to a casino to win expect to be disappointed.

Will they let you play the old double your bet card on roulette? I.E bet £10, £20, £40, £80, £160 until you win? Then you will allways come out ahead, I wouldn't know as I think casinos are out to cheat ya!

Is it just me...or is that the worst strategy ever?

That's called the Martingale system.

It would work if the punter had unlimited funds and the house had no maximum permissible bet.

Unfortunately everyone I know does have limited funds and every casino I have been in does have a maximum bet level.

So you bet £10, £20, £40, £80, £160, £320, £640 and still lose. You're rich enough to be able to afford to place a £1280 bet, but the casino limits bets to no more than £1000. Where do you go from there?

And, beyond that, I believe the record sequence of the same outcome on a roulette table (ie consecutive reds or 1-18s etc) is something like 33 spins. You'd need a lot of cash to be able to still double up on spin 34.

my advice is take cash out before you go, leave your card behind at home and be prepared to lose. you will pick things up and learn quickly, and by leaving your card at home, you wont be tempted!

Hove...
Have you got membership.?

It used to be that your membership becomes active 24hrs after you have filled in the application form at the casino so you might wanna check this out. If you just turn up they might not give you instant admission so you may have to go the day before to complete the form.

That hasn't been in force since 2005. You still have to be a member but you can get it straight away.
