Dont think it was ever a great film, although I do like craig as James Bond. Casino Royale kind of went a bit to far on the old love story front (more than usual), There wasnt raelly enough action. Thought the plot line was a bit boring to.

Has to be said that, in my opinion, Danel Craig has bought a whole new aspect to the Bond character. I really liked Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

I am reading the Ian Fleming 'Quantum of Solace' - a book of short stories - it is really good.

To be fair. I am not a Bond fan. I stumbled upon Casino Royal doing a spot of babysitting. So won't be watching Quantum of Solace

Romance and a certain lack of action was how Fleming first inteded it. Casino Royale was closer to any bond book than any of the previous films. I thought it was great.

Just finished reading 'The Devil May Care' by Sebastien Faulks, writing as Ian Fleming. Very good, very good indeed.

I would say the closest to the book was From Russia with Love.

However Casino Royale was a decent up date from the book, until the last 20 minutes which they put in there so they could make a sequel.
