You wouldn't bet £1300 on them to win the league at 2/1 so obviously you'd cash out.

I would probably out £300 of Leicester to win the league if they lose to Arsenal as they have quite a good run in

Are you married? :)
Yes. A lot of years. I know some partners are more understanding that others, but this is simply the case of guaranteeing the best return for them as a couple.
I know that but it's trying to get his Fiancee's buy-in that's probably not going to work, even if he can explain the maths.
If she can't comprehend the benefits, she should be dumped.

... and is it guaranteed? ... what if Betfair went bust between now and May whilst holding his 3 grand? Unlikely I know but not impossible.
Fair enough, but I would think the chance of that is staggeringly low, low enough to ignore. I think it would require a banking collapse much larger than the last one.

In his situation, cash out and enjoy the rest of the season - don't think about what might have been, focus on what you have. £1300 and potentially a Premier League title to celebrate is an outcome we'd all accept.

Leicester were layable yesterday at 3.45 (now 3.6).

At 3.45, he could have laid the £1300 that he obviously needs, thus exposing himself to £3185 if Leicester do win the league.

That means that if Leicester win the league, his net winnings would have been £5000 - £3185 = £1,815
And if Leicester don't win the league, he'd win the £1300 laid on Betfair.

On the other hand, if he cashes out the £1300 on his original bet, he doesn't benefit any further if Leicester do win the league.

I can't remember where I read it but there had been some analysis done on cash out bets
Overall in the long run it was found to be more favourable to stand firm rather than cash out
I have also found this to be the case in the bets that I have hedged over the years
However this punter is likely to be risk averse and as it is a season long bet the sensible option to is fully cash out at this stage

I'd be going for Option C: Not Yet

Next 5 games; Arsenal, Norwich, W Brom, Watford & Newcastle.
10-12 points wouldn't be too much an ask for Leicester at the moment.

Keep going until then, when the cash-out option raises to £2,250.

Take out £2k and put the remaining £250 to win the title.

This

After the Arsenal match they what looks like a "comfortable" run.

Arsenal a
Norwich h
West Brom h
Watford a
Newcastle h
Palace a
Southampton h
Sunderland a
West Ham h
Swansea h
Man Utd a
Everton h
Chelsea a

Arguably 9 winnable matches there on current form, before a very tricky final 3

They look like a title winning team. I'd consider not thinking with reputation and believing this is my moment by wishing on a star. Face the music and dance, I say. Maybe I'm amazed but tomorrow never knows and they look a great team particularly compared to the usual suspects who are all flawed.

If it was my bet I wouldn't lay off any more than 10% - so a monkey max.
I'd have probably started with putting up a one-r up at shoulder/double tap, and leaving another ton at levels.
I think Leicester will win it myself.

I hope that Leicester fan cashed out at half-time against Arsenal.

That 95th minute winner could be the turning point in their season. What a sickener to concede so late.

Thank you Fiorentina for scoring in 91st minute to bring up the £108 bet, last result to come in(only 2 minutes left after goal but still pressed the cash out option, inter nearly scored after as well) nearly cashed out on £38
The final bet was for £115, not bad for a £1 stake

Really?

Leicester are now on holiday for a week, they'll be on a beach with friends and family. Their next 2 games are at home to Norwich and West Brom, followed by away to Watford then home to Newcastle.

Arsenal now have Champions League, FA Cup commitments, and they're next fixtures are away at MU, home to Swans, away at Spurs.

They are definitely not out of this race yet.

Genoa scored in the 92nd minute too, must be your lucky day as it was mine as I had +2.5 goals on that game as well as the Arsenal match, happy days

Found this on a Leicester forum:

So if you were this fella, would you cash out or stay involved?

I've faced this a lot of times on combination betting and its an art to get it right. Regardless wether its a football type bet or a horse racing combo (i do a lot of lucky 31s) the principles are the same. Each consecutive win the cash out grows but each loss it falls. Therefor you need to accurately weight the following picks. as well as the cash out percentages.

for example if ive got the first 3 up and the last 2 are my top picks I'm more likely to let it ride rather than throwing in a long shot in on the last stage will make me cash out. Therefor he needs to assess current form and the next fixtures. It does my nut in at times, ive won big cashing out and lost £100s by not, but after a time I got to handle it more accurately.

Certainly was a lucky day for me yesterday, the Augsburg goal was in the 87th minute as well
Also won on Harry Kane scoring 1st goal and Sturridge 1st goal, another £25 Back on those two
