ahhh....that's me well and truly put in my place. Nice one, Frutos

No problem at all. :)

Personally, my fav 'Allo 'Allo character was Herr Flick, but I've always loved the show in general.

Columbus had only one pant wetting line which was when they looking out of the boat and one said "There are cannibals out there" other said "Will they eat me whole" and he replied "they normally leave that bit"

Boom boom

Any views on a potential 'Group of Death' Buzzer?

hmmm..

Group 1 should see Up the Jungle going through easily (who can resist Terry Scott with his "Me man, you wo-man" with a real struggle for 2nd. It'll be nostalgia with one of the oldest (Sergeant) versus Sid James in his roll-neck best yak-yaking. The others won't feature.

Group 2 Once again a clear favourite in Camping but expect a tough fight from Dick. Great period acting with all the stars in attendance. Jack could be the black horse here. Jim Dale always did a good Carry On and a strong supporting cast. Carry on Nurse - pretty but lightweight. Carry on Loving? Forget it.

Group 3 - This will be a walk in the park for Khyber. A free-for all for 2nd place but expect the runners up to just make up the numbers.

Group 4 - Now this is an interesting group. Carry on Cleo can pull out the bag one of the most memorable lines (infamy, infamy) and has gags in abundance was produced when Carry On ruled the waves and has the very sexy Amanda Barrie bathing in milk but Doctor can match that with "I was once a weak man, nurse. Once a week's enough for any man". It also has a pregnant Charles Hawtrey and Frankie Howard in imperious form. Carry on at your convenience at 1st glance doesn't have the strength in depth but it does have more knob, toilet and sexual references per minute than all the other put together. The appearance of Brighton might also sway floating voters. Carry on England is an abhomination. Should never have been made and is insulting to this competition. It has the poor man's Bab's Windsor - Diane Langton and not even the appearance of the divine Judy Geeson saves it.

Group 5 should also throw one or 2 surprises. Some unknown names and some films punching above their weight. Follow that Camel does benefit from an influx of rare foreign talent, Phil Silvers playing...umm Phil Silvers. A natural for Carry On films. Hattie Jacques captains a marvellous Matron side and evokes memories of Kenneth Williams "ooh matron". Emmanuelle may win the lads vote but don't expect too much in the later rounds. Cowboy and Regardless are both put together with a very small budget and there is no strength in depth. My money is on Camel and Emanuelle.

Group 6. Oh, I like this group. Some real classic names from Cruising. An all too rare appearance from Lance Perceval. Never achieved his potential could single handedly win this group for Crusing but will voters give him the chance? Carry on screaming also features a flair player - Fenella Fielding ("do you mind if I smoke") and does have the line "frying tonight". Jim Dale appears and who can forget the 2 werewolves? A real fans favourite. I have a real soft spot for Dont lose your head. Sid James lisp is a real winner and Kenneth Williams is at the top of his game with his nostril-flaring here. Carry on Abroad is lucky to be here. It shouldn't and won't feature in this competition. EDIT - Columbus gets a wildcard. Now this does make things interesting. Not a great one, but quite a few younger fans have pin-ups here. I suspect that it could get a good 2nd place. Flatters to decieve but it does have a great line : " Are those sharks? Yes. Will they eat me whole? No - they generally leave that part".

BBC2 Tonight at 22:45 and I refuse to apologise for the fact this has been on the TV before loads of times.

Simply the best Carry on film of the lot with all the great stars appearing from the golden era of Carry On films with Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Barbara Windsor, Hatty Jacques, Kenneth Williams, Bernard Bresslaw, joan Sims and a rare Carry On appearance by Terry Scott no less.

If by any chance (highly unlikely) you have never watched this than do and if you have watch it again - British Humour at its very best.

Oh yes Peter Butterworth as josh fiddler, pound

You lucky bugger. I went for Henney's (http://www.henneys.co.uk/ ) tonight. I do like Henney's but it's no Aspall. I should have stuck with my favourite.

Difficult choice but agreed - Aspalls is a SPLENDID brew. Always good to see a cider maker catering for the sweet tooth!!

I quite like Thatchers Cox's as well

Thatchers are cider making GODS. Fact. Their factory is just down the road from here and they sell their bottled stuff stupidly cheaply. It should be against the law and/or they should take out a restraining order on me.
