BBC2 Tonight at 22:45 and I refuse to apologise for the fact this has been on the TV before loads of times.

Simply the best Carry on film of the lot with all the great stars appearing from the golden era of Carry On films with Sid James, Charles Hawtrey, Barbara Windsor, Hatty Jacques, Kenneth Williams, Bernard Bresslaw, joan Sims and a rare Carry On appearance by Terry Scott no less.

If by any chance (highly unlikely) you have never watched this than do and if you have watch it again - British Humour at its very best.

Now, Beach Hut. I don't want to fall out with you. West Ham tickets apart, I think you post some pretty good stuff on this board but I have 5 little words that blow your argument wide apart:

CARRY ON UP THE KHYBER.

'nuff said.

Oh dear - think we might need a poll to settle this

Due to the shear number of films you may need to run group stages instead of one full on poll.

Right,

I'll sort this out. I'm bored and sad enough to do it.

I will use the 29 Carry On films, split into 5 groups of 5 and one group of 4. The top film in each group will go through to the quarter finals, along with the 2 second placed films with the highest number of votes.

There will be a seeding system of sorts with the films split into 4 seeding pots, as follows:

Early Films 1958-1962 (6 films)
Classic Carry On 1963-1969 (12 films)
Into the 70s (8 films)
And beyond (3 films)

I'm basing all this on the information contained in the Wikipedia entry for Carry On Films.

The Group stages will take place over the next 5 days, to allow those who post during the week to contribute.

I've just read that back and realised that I NEED to make arrangements to get out MUCH, MUCH more.

OK, Group stages to follow when I've put the children to bed.

Without doubt, the sexiest woman of the 70s. More sexy than Fiona Fullerton, Joanna Lumley or Charlies Angels.

Where's the bloody poll, then?

For me it has to be Carry on Camping. Those women with the typically British buxom physique in the showers . . .
Actually, rather depressing. 'Diet' anyone?
LOL!

Sadly, he fell to the curse of Monsieur LeClerc. How many did it claim?

Monsieur LeClerc was played by 3 different actors (although it was actually two different LeClercs, Ernest and Roger).

Kenneth Connor wasn't one of them however, he played Monsieur Alphonse.

A mixed bag there. I'd be very glad to see Carry on England f***ing up at the 1st hurdle. Absolute travesty that film.

I think the draws of the round will be carry on dick v carry on camping, carry on cleo v carry on doctor v carry on at your convenience (may do well - Brighton features heavily in the film)

Any views on a potential 'Group of Death' Buzzer?
