Edit - Those still alive, of course.

To name but a few who have been in more than 1.

Julian Holloway has been in loads of carry on films. He is also Sophie Dahl's father(useless information I know).

EDIT: Just remembered Leslie Phillips.

I seem to remember (although may well be very wrong) the only actor, in the history of British stage and screen, not be be viciously slagged in Kenneth Williams memoirs was Terry Scott.

He had a lot of time for Kenneth Connor. Rated him very highly. Also Joan Sims and Bernard Bresslaw. He regarded Charles Hawtrey as a drunk and reserved most of his vitriol for Sid James, who he thought was talentless and coarse.

There are loads of them that weren't the mainstays. Windsor Davies for example.

And he never left Maggie Smith's side from the sound of it.

Agree with that.
Followed by The Rebel ( Tony Hancock )

100% in agreement re both. Things that I will never tire of in each:

Life of Brian - 'He's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy'

The Rebel - This pic just makes me laugh! (you have to see the film, if you haven't)

In no particular order, my best 4 are:

Cleo
Abroad
Up The Khyber
Follow That Camel

Two years ago I was in Covent Garden and Fenella Fielding walked past - she played the gorgeous Valeria in 'Screaming'. Wish I'd approached for an autograph, she was top cinematic crumpet.

Elke Sommers is still alive too, though she only guested in one, Carry on Behind.

She was also Maria Gambrelli in the excellent Shot in the Dark with Peter Sellers.

Posh end of Shoreham
Remember watching Carry on screaming as a young child and was petrified, remember struggling to get sleep and having nightmares afterwards(was only about 6 or 7)

It's a Carry On.
BBC Five Live 6'O'Clock news had a story about a squirrel. Final line was 'it's digging up gardens to bury it's nuts' queue pause as studio fall on floor!
