Certain teams end up becoming renowned for being a conveyer belt of world class talent in specific positions. The obvious one being Atletico Madrid having an absurd amount of brilliant strikers in the 21st century; Aguero, Costa, Griezmann, Forlan, Torres, Falcao etc etc.

That’s us with midfielders. When Baleba goes and Yalcouye starts bossing midfields up and down the country I think the whole world will wake up and we’ll become the place to be if you’re a central midfielder who wants to jump from a middling European league to one of the big boys. We’re nearly there already but I feel like Baleba is going to be the one that makes it become an actual thing.
Just makes you wonder why players like Baleba are under the radar for so long. Surely they were exceptional at school, youth level, etc

I guess we're one of the few scouting youth games in rural Cameroon.

There are some areas of the world it's easier to go unnoticed

Let's appreciate him whilst we can. It's obviously he's not going to spend him whole career at the Albion, so just what happens after Baleba.

Mad to think we replaced Bissouma with Caicedo, and replaced Caicedo with Baleba. Just where do we go after Baleba?

My understanding is Youlacoure (so?) is the succession plan. If we can continue the trend of selling for big money then upgrading from within, he's on course to be some player!!!

It’s a comment about him being a bit of a character - chill out with the woke nonsense.
I wouldn’t call it woke nonsense. I’d say it’s a little inappropriate (and therefore not woke) to guess whether someone you know very little about has a certain condition or not.

His decision making has improved massively over the last 2-3 months. He’s our next 100 million pound player.

Which is just a very natural progression for a young player getting a decent run of games

Mark my words…

Baleba and Yalcouyé will be a frightening midfield combination next season.

The strength in depth we now have in central midfield is unbelievable.

He’s certainly fun to watch isn’t he and such ambidexterity which makes him an excellent carrier.

- still a lot of scurrying around and being a one man band though when he could be more economic with the ground he covers perhaps and time his passes better - but love that he goes man to man and doesn’t shy away from contact despite his light weight…he uses his body over the ball like bird of prey mantling it’s food.

Bet FH can’t wait to get him next season - he’s far too good for the Austrian Bundesliga (which is probably why he’s doing too much on the pitch). Our MF is going to be even better than the Caicedo/McAllister duo with some excellent players competing for starts.

Yalcouye is a very exciting talent, and will excel further with Baleba.

Thought potentially, Yalcouye was the best investment last summer along with Ferdi, still feel that way.

Georginho has been way better than I thought though….
