I'm sure I've bored everyone shitless with this tedious story before, but last time I missed the train to Carlisle I ended up drinking three bottles of champagne on my own on the later train (it was one of the promotion seasons) and had to be carried into the ground.

Last time was quite good fun but the comedown, if it strikes at any point of the day, is immense.
How were you carried to the ground if you were on your own?

Leeds - but not the dirty bit
i bet i'm doing the shortest journey

newcastle-carlisle, probably going to get 12.20 train to get into carlisle at 13.35

i must say it's a quite frankly LOVELY train journey that one

I think you will find the return journey leaving Carlisle will be even lovelier.

We are doing the equally stunning route from Leeds that involves Settle to Carlisle.

We will not be stone cold sober upon arrival.

No. Me, TWO brothers and two others.

BEN is a Saints mong, and will be staying safely away.

Your family confuses the crap out of me. So far I've gathered that Stumpy Tim is your bro and Red whatever is ur other bro - tho I'm easily confused and could be well wrong!

ipod speakers on a TRAIN?!

yeah everyone's gonna bloody LOVE you aren't they!

Generally speaking from past experience, everyone HAS bloody loved our choice of music on the train!

We've only ever been thanked for having music on so far (as it happens the Newcastle fans ruddy loved it), although admittedly we never put it on when the carriage is full...

Remember being the table behind you for that journey home, with the Geordies and a couple of palace fans if I remember correctly??

Is NO-ONE else on the 18.52 home?

To be fair, on the journey home from Carlisle last season some random bloke treated to the best bits of Live Aid, followed by the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, which I seem to recall went down quite well...
