Watching the less than excited celebrations & can't help noticing Fergie is starting to resemble a senile old grandad at Christmas, hopping around uncertainly, vaguely in time with the party music, and attempting to sing while not really knowing the words.

O'neil lost it for Villa i think. Should have started with Luke Young at RB instead of Cuellar. Should have bought Carew on earlier too. Shame really, could have won if it wasn't for poor management decisions

Also, he must be one of the richest managers around. SURELY he can afford a better pair of glasses?!

I thought it was a good game myself.

Failed to send off Vidic for the penalty despite denying a goal scoring opportunity, and didn't even book him

Soon after Collins brought down someone outside the area where there were other players covering but booked him - why one but not the other?

Why book another Villa player after 1 foul but only warn a Man U player after 2 fouls? It took 40 minutes for the ref to book a Man U player!! - surely frustrating if your a Villa player.

Vidic got booked later in the game (about the 60th minute) so if he had only been booked for the penalty (despite the rules saying he should have gone) then that would have been a second booking and off.

So the ref had a major influence on the outcome.

Not sure why you are harping on about the referee, he wasn't very good but that doesn't mean the game wasn't good.

I have to say that United were the better team on the day, but I simply can't for the life of me understand how Vidic wasn't dismissed for bringing down Aggi. Ref bottled it imo. That said, the 'offside' given against Villa near the end made me laugh out loud - such was the fuckwittedness of the lino's bonkers flaggery. Where do they get these CLOWNS from??

I enjoyed the match, and have made £13 profit from it. Bloody Milner scoring first though, I had Owen 1-0 and Owen 2-1. Gutted. Still, profit is profit and I'm going to roll that over to the Juventus game tonight!

Michele Paolucci!
