Folk around my part of the world are getting quite excited about this game. Should be worth a watch later.

Kick off at 4pm.

Love the way Vincent Tam said we will welcome our Welsh neighbours.
Bloke has not got a Scooby......think his eyes may be opened this afternoon.

In the absence of a 'today's games' thread, this one will have to do.

2 things from Spurs v Everton.
It was my first listening of Talkspite, so bear with me.

Did the goalie really refuse to go off after being knocked out cold?
&
What the fook was Collymore and knobber on about at half time, re corners?

It can't always be like that, can it?

Yes. I don't know if he was knocked out cold, but he took a knee to the head and stayed down. Then as he was being helped off he was reluctant to leave, telling everyone he was fine to continue. Team mates tried to convince him to go off, but he refused. AVB accepted it, then the ref stepped in and spoke with the physio and the keeper, and was apparently confident enough to let him stay on.

Collywobble said words to the effect of:-

'he's been double knocked out'

He may have been (well, only once), I don't know. It was a hard shot to the head. I would like to think if he had been completely knocked out they wouldn't have let Lloris stay on, that he only stayed on because he didn't totally lose consciousness. I might be being a touch naive though.

Cardiff showing no ambition to try and win the game. 0-0 must be short odds favourite.

Collymore was adamant in his view that corners that go out of play in mid-air but then swing back into play should be allowed as legal because he believes it to be a 'skill'. Having had the misfortune of listening to matches on TalkSport previously, I can report that Collymore's performance during commentary today was up to his usual standard. That is to say that he is invariably dire.
