Why? Was he playing a recorder?

The Laughing Bluebird said:I don't think away fans are kept in at all these days unless it is a high-profile game such as Leeds, West Ham, etc.
Uncle Buck said:In fairness, on our last visit, we were not kept in the ground. It was more that you could not safely get out of the ground.
The Laughing Bluebird said:The regular routine back in 2001 was for hundreds of nutters to mill around outside the ground and in the car park after the game until the police attempted to move them on. Then all hell would break loose.
These days, there are CCTV cameras in the streets outside the ground and in the car park, which seem to have sorted that particular problem out. Also the policing and stewarding around the ground and in the car park have all been greatly improved, as has the actual car park itself.
The Wookiee said:Whats the pub called that you drive past, after turning left out of the car park, as you leave the car park at the furthest exit from the ground ?

PS
Hope you get Falmer sorted
The Laughing Bluebird said:Are you talking about leaving the car park via the exits facing the ground?
Mellingriffith said:Laughing Bluebird if you were on that bus (Fat Nicks) at MFC a few seasons back we have probably had a pint or two watching CCFC at sometime.
The Laughing Bluebird said:The Wookie's got me confused too. I don't know what pub he's on about. Can't picture the route at all.
The Wookiee said:As We left the car park we turned left, and I am certain we passed a pub on the left hand side, I carried on and we eventually came to the motorway.
The Laughing Bluebird said:No pubs on the left. The athletics stadium, some bushes, a roundabout and you're straight onto the dual carriageway that takes you back to the motorway.
There is road to the left as you approach the roundabout, but there are no pubs there either. All of the buildings are industrial or retail units of one sort or another.
Brixtaan said:Sounds gorgeous.
The Laughing Bluebird said:Yes indeed. The strange thing is that the area to the left when you leave the car park is the site where the new stadium retail park will be built. There is sod all there at the moment. And yet that's the area the Wookie saw this mysterious pub. Which almost certainly doesn't exist.
Drugs are my guess......
