I can guarantee you the BBC will probably get its smallest ever TV audience for the cup final.

What happens to the winner of the Fair Play League, don't they get a place in the UEFA cup as well?

Correct, which if England were to 'win' would go to the team at the top of the Premiership 'Fair Play' league (I seem to remember reading somewhere that is/was Man City).

No, LB, they aren't allowed in the Welsh Cup as things stand. But it's still where they should be. Cardiff bang on about their Welsh-ness, but don't want to play in the Welsh system. Some bunch of proud Welshmen they are.

They've never been a member of the Welsh league.

I find this all a little hyprocritical to be honest. England and Scotland fans are the first to complain when the thought of entering a GB team in the world cup is mentioned.

Do you know the viewing figures since the FA Cup has been televised ? Post them on here and we will see if you are right.

I'll start you off, the first ever television final on the BBC had an audience of 10,000. So if the BBC can't manage to top that, you're wrong for a start.

I'll want accuracy as well, because sporting event viewing figures can change dramatically throughout the event.

For example in 2006 6.8 million viewers started watching the game, but 11.3m ended up watching it because of the dramatic finish.

Obviously it's different when it's your team but as a neutral you want to see the best teams and the best players playing in Englands showpiece club event.

If so that's a relatively recent interpretation of the event.

Well they've just added at one here, I always turn off whenever the big four are in it and particularly if more than one of them are as I find it difficult trying to drum up interest watching two teams I detest. Secondly, I'm never certain how serious they take the competition particularly if neither need to win it to qualify for Europe. At least this year both teams have something to play for.

It will interesting if it beats the low peak of 7.4 million that tuned into the Arsenal v Chelsea of 2002.

If it does it will blow the above theory completely out the water.
