Cardiff City have just announced that season ticket holders can bring two or more guests to Ninian Park for the home game against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, April 9th, for just £5 each.

The offer applies to all parts of the ground, and season ticket holders can bring along as many guests as they like. I've just ordered four grandstand tickets for my mates for the princely sum of £21 (inc booking fee).

A good move by the club I reckon. I had this one down as a banker away win, but if Ninian Park is nearly full then who knows? We might even sneak a draw.....

:lolol:  :lolol:

It will be tough against Wigan, we can assure you of that, but who knows, a decent crowd, intimidating atmosphere, who knows? I hope it works out for you, All the best LB

Meopham, Kent.
I thought you needed the money from people paying full price.

Has Sam decided that you are not now £29m in debt, or is he just trying not to think about it. Anyone mentions it and he puts his hands over his ears and shouts "la la la la la" at the top of his voice until they stop.

Is the financial situation looking a little better at Ninian Park then? You've just signed Neal Ardley, Lawrence is saying that no more players will be sold (didn't he say something similar a while back?) and now cut-price ticket deals.

'Twas only a few weeks ago that everything was going to shit, half the team were going to be sold and administration was knocking on the door.

After the game away at Plymouth on the 2nd do you think things will be looking better on the pitch? Or will results at Highfield Road drop you into the bottom 3?

The vice-chairman, Michael Isaac, is reported to have covered the wages until the end of the season out of his own pocket. The Ardley signing is a bit of a mystery, though. Inamoto has now gone back to West Brom so it's possible that that the cash injection will cover Ardley's wages instead of Inamoto's, but it's a surprise all the same.

The cut-price ticket deal makes sense. Even though Wigan are top of the league, the game wouldn't have drawn much of a crowd (especially as eggchasing reigns supreme here once again), so City are doing the right thing by offering a special deal. I've just bought another two tickets for people who almost certainly wouldn't have gone unless it was cheap. That's six extra tickets from me alone! All of those people will buy programmes / food / beer on the day, so the club will benefit financially. And the improved atmosphere could also see the team benefit with a bit of luck.
