ASLEF strike = No southern trains. You would be able to get Thameslink/Gatwick Express from London then bus/taxi/walk from Brighton station.

What would a cab from the station to Falmer cost? Must be loads in the same boat, happy to share 4/5 ways?

I was thinking the same thing about London. Assume plenty of people in the same boat - does NSC have some mechanism for setting this up? Shared cab probably going to cost £25 each way for 4 people??

I suggest just walking down to the taxi rank at the station and asking if anyone wants to share. Bound to be takers.

I might be wrong, but I don't think the GX is running through to Brighton on strike days (and I'm not sure if it's doing the full journey on non-strike days either). It's just Thameslink that's in service.
