Charlton are struggling to shift the west lower and covered end (upper and lower north) could be more in the west upper if demand is there.

I’ve got to wait until tomorrow
On the Albion site it says they did ask for more but 1300 was all they could get.
Pity we didn't know sooner about the upper west tier as i would rather have been up there at the side of the pitch than behind the goal. Still looking forward to it though.

Would offer to swop / assuming I get one tomorrow as preference would be behind goal but then again we’d both get extended bans!

Much better view, but a far inferior atmosphere in the upper west, especially as it looks like the rest of the tier will be empty.

1300 Albion away fans in 3 tight blocks under a roof will be OK for atmosphere.

Just hope Charlton play ball and give us another block or two when we sell these.

Yes they’ll be okay, but your hardcore will be in a different stand and as it’s the top tier of the west stand they will be quite disconnected. Quite a lot of them won’t even be able to see the away end from there. In my experience that can make a bit of a difference.

Thanks Uboat, so six of one half a dozen of the other. Seems strange that we could only get 3 blocks in that upper tier if the rest is going to be empty. How are your sales going? Looking forward to this one should be a cracking atmosphere.

I’m not sure what the logic is either. It could be to do with turnstiles or segregation outside the ground, but I would have thought Charlton and Brighton could mingle and use the same or neighbouring turnstiles without trouble. I think they probably want all Brighton fans arriving at the south west corner and then heading into the two stands from there, but surely it wouldn’t be that hard for Brighton to head upstairs and then make their way along.
Sales are pretty slow, especially in the Covered End. Better in the Lower West, which is why they have now opened the East Stand, for supporters that don’t want to go behind the goal.

For Brighton fans that do end up in the West stand, I would advise keeping a low profile unless you think you can handle the wrath of the thermos flask and tartan blanket ultras. You might think the Holmesdale Goths are scary, but this lot will give you nightmares.

Now please don't tell me that people are still allowed in with that most dangerous of weapons in the hands of a 65+ hoodlum.
Crikey, the righteous indignation on here when they were banned from the Amex was of legendary proportions!
I should know, i was one of them!

I’ve been working on my cover story since the game was announced. I know for example a set 4 in the Valley Cafe is £6.20 if challenged

In all seriousness, don’t see there being an issue, apart from Palace (which was badly managed last time) there’s no segregation before or after matches at the Amex.

Secured a pair
Available at 08:58 - always worth checking!

Will be sold out before 10 I reckon

Notice club asked for more but Charlton said no, probably the realisation that they could have more ways than home in the ground
