With due respect, don't get the point of your post, also, would it be nailed on we would have got Blackburn ?

Me too, but why so?

Albion's sorry all-time League Cup best will be highlighted by the fact that a win for Port Vale at a misty Field Mill will match it. If the Stags go through, then they will actually better it 😯
Had some great battles with Mansfield and Wrexham back in the 70s
Mansfield still unbeaten in the league
I've always said the league Cup is harder to win than the fa Cup
The two legged semi takes away the one off result

Not sure I can entirely agree with you on either point. Radio Nottingham stated Stags were unbeaten in all competitions (19 matches), but were outclassed tonight by a team which looks like they could be playing Championship football next season. Even after the competition became established it was won by 3rd Division QPR and Swindon and more recently, a fourth tier club has reached the final. Nowadays the abolition of replays makes it easier for the lower teams because the FA Cup retains them up to the 4th Round.

I'm not sure I meant a great deal other than I thought we were the better team against Chelsea and coulda woulda shoulda won, and with perennial winners Manchester City already knocked out, this could have been a year for us to have a good run in a competition we have historically been very poor at.

I wonder how many Boro fans have made a long weekend trip to the West Country.
I'd love to have a word with just one of the idiots from 2016 who jeered when they went up.
5 days in Devon with storm Ciarán coming in, or 3 days in Marseille?

I would always say, let's go and try to win every trophy we can.

But given the number of injuries we've picked up in the first quarter of the season, i'm not too sorry we're out of the competition and we have a mid week off.

Poor old Middlesbrough: Exeter away in the cup tonight; Plymouth away in the league on Saturday 😂
Apparently they took 1,300 down to Exeter. Very impressive for a wet Tuesday night cup tie 300 miles from home.
Likely a fair few are are staying over and tying it in for the Plymouth game.

Very impressive goal by Ben White tonight. Just a pity it was in the wrong goal.

Some lovely BOOOOs there, what a farce of a club.

Their gross transfer spending under the Glazer’s matches ManC’s, net spend far greater as they end up having to flog expensive lemons for losses. A rudderless ship giving managers too much control over transfers.
