Question for regular car parkers, do you find parking in the carparks better and quicker than doing the Mill Road park n ride?

Wouldn't say it is any quicker getting away afterwards but it is a bit more convenient before the match knowing you don't have to get there 2+ hours before kick off. Also the queuing is queuing in the car (to get out) rather than queuing in the cold/rain to get on the bus.

Not forgetting it costs £15

Thanks, it is the queing for the bus what irritates mostly. I don't like leaving early but whisper it, have in the past due to family stuff. And am going out sharpish Saturday,

Leaving the North on final whistle usually means a massive queue.

Another 40 parking spaces available at The Bridge just now. Worth £15 if transport issues are making you hesitate about going.

I find it much quicker. Make sure you are ready to dart out the stadium right on the full time whistle and walk briskly to the car park and you rarely have to queue long to get out. I'm usually out the car park by 5:15 and back in South London by 6:45pm.

Why do the car park slots get released so close to games? What happens to make them suddenly available?
I asked this when I spoke to the club earlier this week (spoiler: there won't be car park season tickets on sale for next season).

The initial bulk release is known availability.

The small batch on the week of the game itself is extra spaces that get released once the club's own operational requirements are firmed up.

...and just to add, and this seems very unusual, there are still Bridge parking spaces available now.

Thats because the ones leaving on 80 min are already queing. I stay until 5.45, walk up to the racehill P&R, normally walk straight on to tge bus.
