Gross - bring some Teutonic discipline.

As Dunk runs up to the referee, it's clearly going to take a while for me not to think:-

'oh no he's gonna chin him'.

Can work in exceptional cases but generally not the right position. Can still very much be a leader though.

If both those names move on I'd think Connor Goldson has a good chance.

Given that on current form Schelotto will keep Bruno on the bench for sometime are we moving into an era of club captain and team captain. This would make sense given the demands off the pitch for the captain.

They're ALL captains.

Your right in many ways, but l still think that every team needs one real leader. I think that Bruno will start fewer games now, especially with Schellotto doing so well at right back. Next season we will need a new captain, but it won't be Maty Ryan, goalkeepers are far too removed from the action on the pitch.

In order of preference and who I think would be capable I would go:
Gross
Propper
Kayal if a regular choice
Dunk
Dunk
Stephens

I think, however, that CH will go for Dunk or Stephens

"The Seagulls claimed their first Premier League points of 2018 thanks to goals from Glenn Murray, Jose Izquierdo and Pascal Gross"

Not the best of starts.
