Read the headline in a sleepy state and thought we had a new super hero.

All those keeping the same back 5 weren't at Cardiff.

Bruno was more shocking than any time since his return from injury.
I thought he was the mutts at the start of the season.

Calde needs to play on form alone, he will be captain.

For me this is absolutely spot on. I lost count of the amount of lazy or just plain poor passes that Bruno played against Cardiff. As I said on another thread, I think Bruno needs to know that he can be dropped for performance as well as injury/illness. At the moment, I don't think he feels his place is under pressure.

OK so maybe not the best choice, but Pulis made Upson captain when he was at West Ham and called him a “fantastic professional” and “influential figure” in the dressing room. I quite like a CB as a captain, not entirely sure why, but it always seems the most natural place to lead the team from. If we keep the Upson/AEA pairing then I'd give the armband to Matty.

With you on this, Bruno doesn't look the same player and after Tuesday if he keeps his spot then Gus must be seeing something I'm not (which is highly likely given he is the manager!)

Upson as captain for me, him and AEA were class on Tuesday, got to say I was annoyed when AEA picked up such a silly booking early on and thought it was only a matter of time til he saw red given the pressure we were under at the back but he hardly put a foot wrong after that. Fair play to him and I don't think it's a coincidence the way AEA's has been playing since Upson joined and for that reason I reckon Upson should lead us out.

Not even that, although you're right.

Their left winger had the better of Bruno, that's fine that happens, but he didn't seem to play accordingly.

The Sky highlights show him faffing around, and losing out.
He gave the fella so much space.
He was continually trying, and failing flicks and tricks.
I clearly remember one episode, instead of clearing the ball, he flicked it up onto his thigh, lifted it again, then wondered why matey took it off him and ran to the bye line.

Even Roberto Carlos knew where row Z was.
As much as we shouldn't play that way, Tuesday night's second half was a ROW Z game.

I prefer Dave at right back

From what I gather from Charlies press conference, I'd say Greer would be on the bench but not starting after Upson/AEA form.
