That's got to be one of the blandest cup draws of all time. Absolutely no stand out ties, no derbies, no nothing.

I would also suggest it has to have one of the highest average trip distances ever.

Bournemouth to Hartlepool, QPR to Carlisle, Exeter to Sunderland. All midweek. The away fans must be overjoyed.

Lets look at that positives here :

A winnable game

No additional home match with loss making opportunities with a much reduced crowd

Another match to give some squad players some competitive game time

Including Bobby Z?

Might be on TV

I really doubt we'd be a TV game, one of the downsides to seeding the second round draw is it keeps all the bigger teams apart. Although there are no stand-out games in the draw, Walsall vs Brighton isn't an attractive TV game. They will be looking for possible upsets and I think Sunderland vs Exeter has potential there. Barnsley vs Everton is also a possibility for TV, as is Newcastle vs Northampton (although I think Sky would rather it was Newcastle visiting Northampton as that has more of a potential upset to it). Outside chances for West Brom vs Port Vale and Hartlepool vs Bournemouth.

I hope this is a weds game. My wedding anniversary is the Tuesday and the wife already says I care too much about football. I live in Warwick so this is actually very convenient for me. For the love of Christ be a Wednesday.

The media seems to have a bit of a hard-on for Bornmuff right now, plus they're playing Stellings mob. Bet that'll be one of them.

Plus ours, obviously.

Barnsley v Everton for me Clive, with John Stones visiting his old club and Martinez already under pressure.

Villa, Brum, Wolves and West Brom are all drawn at home - unlikely all these games are going to played the same evening.

Worst cup draw ever?

There isn't one game in that lot that is going to make me switch my TV on.......even ours!

Get rid of seeding it's bollocks. It's cup football for goodness sake let the balls decide who plays each other.

Get rid of seeding but retain the geographic division for another round.
