Can't disagree with that, and sort of affirms where I saw the game too. Around 60mins I thought you suddenly looked a bit tired and lacking ideas in breaking us down, which led us to have a bit more of the ball and create a bit more. That said, Murphy came on on 75mins and really turned the game. He played a brilliant 15mins or so, and while not taking the plaudits as a scorer, he won that game for Newcastle for my money. You suddenly had an outlet, he was strong, mobile, bought people in, dragged the CBs out of position. One of those classic - why the hell doesn't he start!? questions.
Gayle is normally keeping him out, but up against your big CB's we wouldn't get much joy, better starting with the more mobile Gouffran.
