What nonsense, last time I saw us at home to Newcastle we smashed them 4-0 with the brilliant Brian Wade scoring all 4.
Not quite. (4-2)

Love this comment. All of the many Toon fans I spoke with said that the Amex noise levels were amazing and they were impressed with our stadium-wide vocal support, especially the way we got behind the Albion when the Toon scored. Apparently, if you are an away fan, being on the receiving end of 27,000 Seagulls bellowing out "Al-bi-on" can be quite intimidating! Nice to know, and one to remember for the future.
Apologies, memories a bit hazy, I was still at school. 44 now !!Not quite. (4-2)
A win on Saturday, followed by a Huddersfield win later that evening puts the Albion at the top of the pile again. That's how quickly things can change.
Far FAR too many knee-jerk reactions on here, but then that's nothing new...

You should expect to be second best to a team that can afford to spend £86 millon in the summer.
Without Shelvey i think they would be struggling.
Talk Sport are all over last night Newcastle are all but champions ffs did they or did they not
scrape a 2-2 draw at home to Bristol City on Saturday!
Your so right! That'll be Jim Shite, I presume? No surprises there, then.
I listened to H&J yesterday and normally they are great, but firstly Jacobs basically said that we were already favourites to go down from the PL (that might be true, but an odd comment on the build up to a game) and then the preview to the game that they'd been teasing all show was basically a chat with a correspondent on the North East for one of the papers, who just spoke about Newcastle. A neat segue into Huddersfield and they were onto FA Cup chat and that was that! Very odd.
In a funny sort of way, I'm glad this game is gone, regardless of the result. There was so much media hype about it and how the winner would win the Championship (maybe, but by no means certain), that it will be nice to get back to lower profile games.
Why can't we just accept we lost to a good team, instead of the countless threads on here criticising anybody from the owner to
the manager to the players to the fans.
Sometimes it is just not your day & you need to dust yourself down & move on.

I don't think I've seen a team play through one player quite as much as him last night. Simply their "go-to" man - and for a good reason at this level, albeit I thought we handled him pretty well with Baldock and Murphy closing down that space that he likes to operate in . They would miss him (as any team would), and assume their run of poor form coincided with his ban..(not bothered checking stats). The only surprise was that it was Ritchie who hit the 60-yard pass for the winner!! I had looked at him two minutes earlier and thought he looked shot.. what do I know! You should expect to be second best to a team that can afford to spend £86 millon in the summer.
