Haha just as I found out from a comment Bozza made elsewhere that he has hidden signatures, and have done the same which has really improved the readability and flow of threads for me. So, sorry to all those who have elaborate or clever sigs, I'm another who has now hidden them!

Hint taken, I shall now try to delete mine...

I just tried to edit my signature but apparently I cannot have any smilies in it!

Is there a parameter you can amend to allow them please?
