Baptised at All Saints, Patcham.

When the Church was responsible for the maintenance of Parish records, where you were baptised was where you were from. I would probably also have been born at Buckingham Road, but my grandmother had been a night Matron at the Zachary Merton Hospital in Rustington, so Mum chose to have me there. My great grandmother used to live with an old couple in Highcroft Villas, whom she cared for. A bit of a tenuous link there though, I suppose.

Whereabouts in Kemp Town was the station, and when did it close?

Freshfield Industrial Estate Eastern Road is there now, at the back of the estate is a boarded up tunnel.

Station closed to passengers in 1933 but was used for freight until 1971.
26 June 1971 a special train for passengers ran to mark the closing of the line.
