Can you buy BEER in the morning?

Did nobody hear that report yesterday that thus far not one pub in the whole of London has applied for one of these new 24 hour licences?

They came into effect at the beginning of the year I believe but as yet nobody seems willing to take advantage. Worse luck

You can't blame - I am not sure of the point of this. Also with the threat of being asked to contribute to policing I can see all the reasons why this is a pointless exercise.

They have 6 months to apply for one. But after all the arguments about it, it seems most pubs will only want to stay open another couple of hours.

Definately 8AM beer sales start. I was in a shop buying me Guardian at 7.30 the other day, and some chap was having a row with the owner, as he couldnt buy White Lightning that early in the morning.
