They’ll soon hoover up de Brunye, Sterling, van Djik, Kane, Sane and the rest of the world’s talent and normality will be restored; until then let’s enjoy. Marvellous scenes.

Really? Don't think so. City are owned by an oil rich state and will be able to match anything Barca can pay and the Premier League teams are in the ascendency in Europe. Two European titles and two all English finalists doesn't lie.

Barca have massive problems at the moment. Messi is starting to fade, so too Suarez. They've signed Griezmann on a dodgy deal who many of their fans hate and one of the reasons is that they know they have no chance of poaching our top talent. They've never replaced Iniesta and Xavi because, well, because you can't. The last big money Premier League siging they made, Coutinho, was a MASSIVE flop. Valverde is a flat track bully who's had the happy knack of winning Classico games and titles but their Champions League failings show where they are on a comparative world stage. Pep's Barca would never have lost to Liverpool over two legs.

Real may try and resurrect the Galactico era but, again, right now that's not happening despite them needing to do it.

Of all those named the one player I can see going over there is Sane - he's just about sulky and inconsistant enough for either side.

Good analysis and I agree with you, but you’re missing the lifestyle issue for players; money only goes so far when you’re waking up under the slate grey skies of Manchester and other UK cities on a regular basis when you could be living in Spain. Players like Suarez, Coutinho, Hazard, Mascherano, Bale and Ronaldo all ‘forced through’ moves when their clubs wanted to keep them due to the lure of playing for Real and Barca.
