As I have said elsewhere, if you see what is clearly a thread about you know who and you don't like it don't open it, quite simple really isn't it ?

So you don't like all the threads about SCC. So what do you do - start another one! f***ing genius.

To the bloke who said he hates SFC because we seemed to dominate South Today-its funny cos every set of fans on the south coast believe its the other clubs who get most coverage.
I think Pompey get far more coverage on ITV because Fred Dinosaur is a director (I think). I think this season has been fun, with rivalry between us, Stains and Bmuff. But I think a lot of younger fans (hope that doesn't sound too patronising) will be a bit shocked when Palarse roll up to The Amex, or when we have the pleasure of the shithole that is smellwurst. Now that's a whole different story.

Me again chaps-i don't know any fellow Saints who thought we would finish top-most thought Charlton and sheffy wendy would be in the top 3.

Gloat away and enjoy-these must be great times for BHA so enjoy and i hope we renew aquaintences next season.

This is absolute shite. The studios have always been in Southampton and both BBC and ITV have the idea that in order to be "fair" they need to go down the road to Portsmouth too. And if push comes to shove and little old Bournemouth are doing quite well, then they get covered, to the extent that there were times when they would get more coverage than we would despite being further down the league. You can make an excuse for Southampton because they have always been above us (this is the first time in 50 years we finished above you) but their Solent-bias was/is pretty inexcusable aside from that.

Teams like Reading, Aldershot and ourselves have always been an afterthought. That said, Reading fans always complained that we get too much coverage - not quite sure how that happened.

Anyway, I'll be happy if Soton come up with us but not so fussed about Bumfluff.

As a matter of fact many Saints fans believe that the BBC is biased against them. Granted, whether or not our success is a factor we have had the lion's share of media coverage.

Maybe! Although I have pointed out that, despite what some may think, Southampton WERE our rivals this season and Palace weren't. Well, they were our rival until their utter shitness became apparent and they were left choking on our dust. (Who knows, if they get the runners-up slot next year they may play in shirts with the slogan 'On tow, thanks Brighton!' emblazoned across the front)

I also postulated, to some disagreement, that there is a chance that they might become our new permanent rivals as our clubs were now going to be of similar size (Previously we've lived almost our entire existence in their shadow). That was a bit tongue-in-cheek as I don't think anyone will take the place of Portsmouth in Southampton's 'affections'.

Southampton can only dream of being less than the Croydon compost.

agree with the overall sentimentality of this mind , it's fun for a while and I'm loving being Champions ,and of course we're going to enjoy Saturday but every.single.sodding.thread.about.Southampton people?

they weren't the only one to "have digs" at us , what about Huddersfield? still have them to play too.

1) Our clubs will not be of similar size.
2) No one will ever take the place of Portsmouth. However, I am aware of your rivalry with Palace. A few of my Palace supporting mates haven't shut up about playing you lot next season (if they stay up).

1) What do you mean by that ? I take it you're too young to remember the 80s but in those days we got bigger crowds than Saints partly due to having a bigger ground. Just because we currently have a lower capacity at The Amex does not mean it will stay that way. The capacity can be expanded to match St Mary's in a close season if required, the infrastructure is there.

2) Once again up until you came down to our level we didn't see you as a rival but the same applies to Pompey for that matter. We really don't care about you but as so many of your fans and physios feel the need to insult us do you expect us to ignore you ?

Face a simple fact, you thought this league was yours for the taking and you hate being inferior and wrong.

You are deluded. We will have 18,400 season tickets next season and a waiting list. Sounds like the good old days when we always had bigger crowds than you whenever the two clubs were playing at the same level. :bigwave:

Oh and of course this is all based on the assumption that you manage promotion, because if you don't and half your players leave then there will be 14,000 rattling around in the St Mary Bowl for some games next season.

So people can just go there to masturbate furiously over finishing above them? So f***ing old now, grow up.

Wonder how many Man U fans think its childish and that their fans need to grow up when they take the piss out of Man City and their failure to win a trophy for 35/36 years ??

Southampton have been our main rivals for the title this season so why shouldn't some of our fans enjoy the moment (especially given some of the comments made by their manager)

How about you just stop being such a sad, miserable old fart about it all and if you don't like that there are threads about Southampton, just don't open and read them or would that be too grown up a thing to do?

man City/Man U is a two way rivalry, this is a one way rivalry because southampton really couldn't give a shit about us and it just makes us look like a load of prats.
